Speaker test

Privacy

Short version: this site does not collect anything about you.

Who runs this site

The speaker test is run by an individual. You can reach me at hello@speakertest.online.

What the speaker test does with your data

Nothing. The sounds are generated in your browser. The page does not use your microphone, records nothing and sends no audio anywhere. The oscilloscope draws the signal your browser is producing; it never leaves your device.

What is stored on your device

If you switch between the light and the dark mode, the page remembers your choice in your browser's local storage so it can show the same mode next time. This stays on your device and is never sent to the server. You can delete it in your browser settings at any time.

Cookies and third parties

At the moment this site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: no analytics, no advertising, no external fonts. If that changes, for example if advertising is added, this page will be updated first and, where the law requires it, you will be asked for your consent.

Server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers this page may keep short technical access logs (for example the time of a request and an IP address) for security and operation. I do not use them to identify visitors.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to your data protection authority. Since this site does not collect personal data, there is normally nothing to show or delete, but you are welcome to write to me.
